Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines (ACIM) is founded in 2018 through H.E. President Decree no. 745.ACIM is a non-governmental and non-political organization representing the Afghanistan’s industrial and mining sector. The chamber throughout the past years held several industrial exhibitions and conferences and organized a lot of capacity building seminars and workshops for domestic factories. Leadership of ACIM continually in touch with senior government officials, including President’s Office through the membership in the meetings of the Supreme Economic Council, the sub economic Committee of Ministers Council and High Commission of Investment in Afghanistan, and put pressure on officials to raise tariffs on imports and reduce industrial tariffs through meetings and press conferences which has been already green signaled by the government. They brought a reform in some of the tax laws and determined the appropriate rate for electricity bills and brought ease in getting visa for foreign nationals as engineers, technical staff and workers assigned by the domestic industry as well as launched many exhibitions to support and grow the exports and domestic products of Afghanistan.
The chamber has always tried to support the investment in the industrial sector of Afghanistan, attracted new entrepreneurs to enter the industrial market of the country and strived hard for the improvement of local products of the country. In recent times the Afghanistan Chamber of industries and Mines has launched various exhibitions across the country for the purpose of promoting domestic products and finding new markets for afghan products worldwide.
